The park Garuda Wisnu Kencana is located in a picturesque canyon on the Bukit Peninsula. It is a very beautiful place. Visitors of the park gradually move from one beautifully organized space to another. There is a street theatre immediately after the exhibition center. It is followed by a pond with Lotus flowers and Indraloka garden with beautiful flowers. And the main hall is in the center, between the gorges. It often hosts private events, and concerts of local stars, and corporate parties, and outdoor festivities in honor of the Balinese holidays.
You can watch a theatrical show – the dance Kecak- in the outdoor theater. Actually, it's not just a dance but an entire show based on the epic Bhagavad Gita. The performances are held daily at 6 PM. This is a very bright costume show having the unusual Balinese flair. After the viewing of the fairy tale, its characters like to be photographed with all interested persons.
There is a statue of Vishnu on the highest point of the hill. This is an element of the construction of the monument of Garuda Wisnu Kencana. The work over it has been ongoing for several years and it is planned that this will be the largest statue of this God. Every day, locals come here to commit ritual dance in honor of the God. Everyone can enjoy the show absolutely free.
In the exhibition center, visitors can see the creativity of Balinese artists and buy souvenirs. You can participate in the production process of batik, draw a cartoon or a caricature, use the services of masters of massage and SPA.
