Burj Khalifa is the tallest skyscraper in the world located in Dubai. The height of the skyscraper is 828 meters. The erection of the tower lasted 6 years, it was completed in 2010 and required $1.5 billion. The number of its floors is 163. The building houses 9 hotels. There is a system of fountains. Burj Khalifa is the Central element of the new business center in Dubai. 37 lower floors house the hotel; and 700 luxury apartments occupy from the 45 to the 108 floors. 35 floors are given over to offices. There is a parking lot for 3,000 vehicles in the three underground floors. There is the main high-rise observation deck on the floor level 148 (555 meters) called At The Top SKY. One should take one of the fastest elevators in the world to get there. Visitors to the observation deck are offered to look at the metropolis from the outdoor terrace, comfortably relax in the lounge, to visit the interactive room, and down to the other observation deck located on level of the 124 and 125 floors. The average duration of an excursion to the observation deck is about one hour. Fire safety system of the building allows to evacuate all the inhabitants of the Burj Khalifa in about 32 minutes. The tower generates electricity for itself with the help of the 61-meter turbine, rotated by the wind, and the array of solar panels partially set on the walls of the tower. The building is equipped with special protection from the sun and reflective glass panels, which reduce heating of the premises. For air conditioning, Burj Khalifa uses a convection system, which blows air upward across the height of the tower; and seawater is used for underground cooling units. Book tickets online as far as 30 days in advance in order to avoid wait times or expensive fast-track admission to Burj Khalifa.
