The Koutoubia Mosque is located in Marrakesh. It represents the very big tower. It is the biggest and the most beautiful tower in Marrakesh. It was built in the period from 1189 till 1199. In that time the ruler was Yacoub el Mansour. And then the Koutoubia Mosque was considered to be an engineering miracle. But today we can say that it is the historical sight which must be seen by every tourist of the world. So, come to the point! Height of this famous tourist attraction is 69 meters. It’s huge! That’s why the Koutoubia Mosque has inside six rooms. There is one legend about fourth globes on the top of the mosque. They are there because of wife of Yacoub el Mansour. When was a period of Ramadan she had eaten three grapes. And Yacoub was feeling guilty about it and decided to pick her gold jewelry. And he made of this fourth globe. The Koutoubia Mosque is working and it is the place of praying. Here every day come people who practice the Islam religion. The hall for praying can accommodate 25 thousand people. Near the Koutoubia Mosque there is also amazing rose garden which is worth to see! Don’t leave Marrakesh if you didn’t see the Koutoubia Mosque!
