The Reserve Peyrieras is a private sanctuary. It is a zoo. It was named after the French entomologist and naturalist Andre Peyrieras.
This reserve is located East of Antananarivo between the towns of Manjakandriana and Moramanga. It is a popular tourist destination.
Every visit to this place gives a reasonably complete impression of the fauna of Madagascar. Here you can see chameleons, butterflies, crocodiles. There are also geckos, frogs and some bats. Th surrounding woods of the reserve are home to wild, but tame lemurs, who respond to the call of the employees of the Reserve.
Most of the animals are contained in several large caged buildings and greenhouses. Tourists can visit these places with the guide. Tourists can also take pictures with Conquerel''s sifaka lemur.
