Tivoli Gröna Lund is an amusement Park in Stockholm. It is located on the coast of the island Djurgården. It is a relatively small park compared to other amusement parks. The park was founded in 1883. That year, Jacob Shultis took its territory in the lease to "put carousels and other amusements", and until 2001, the park was owned by his heirs.
The park has over 30 amusements rides. There is a funhouse with giant mirrors, a tunnel of love, prize entertainments, roller coasters, carousels and rides with a shade of the Nordic marine motifs: "Viking Ship" and "Merry house" – it is an entertainment that offers people to climb a constantly reeling and moving house, the stairs, bridges and carpets of which do not allow anyone to stay on one`s feet.
Here is the highest by European standards tower for testing weightlessness. Its height is 80 meters. However, those brave souls, who dared to try such entertainment, say that the tower offers the best views of Stockholm, although after the impressive landscapes, there is not less impressive dropping down. There is another attraction "Haunted House" with trolls, ghosts and other dark figures of the underworld.
Of course, there are many places that you can visit with the whole family: fabulous carpets-planes, car racing, classic carousels and cafes, restaurants, street stalls with food and various sweet stuff for those who are hungry.
Apart from the traditional park amusements, Gröna Lund offers a variety of themed events, pop and rock concerts, performances at outdoor venues.
