The National Library of St. Mark’s (Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana) is a library built in Renaissance style which is located in the Piazza San Marco, Venice. The building was designed by Jacopo Sansovino and built in the 16th century. The library houses a great number of classical manuscripts and a collection of the world’s great works. It is believed that the stock had been collected before the construction was finished.The Library room is decorated with the portraits of philosophers and the works of famous artists. The city visitors are welcome to take a tour around the library and enjoy the pieces of art by themselves.
